Office (office.empirevault.com) is a private document workspace built into EmpireVault: word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, and text files, all opened and edited right in the browser. Navigate to Office > Files to see everything you own or have access to.
The Files page lists your folders and documents, with each row showing a color-coded type icon, size, owner, and when it was last modified. Documents and folders are private by default - you see your own items plus anything that has been shared with you specifically. See Folders, Renaming, and Moving for how to organize what you have.
Click New in the Office sidebar to create a document, spreadsheet, presentation, or Open Document Format file, or click Open on anything already in your Files list to work on it in EmpireVault's built-in editor. See Creating Documents and Editing in the Browser.
Every document can be downloaded in its original format, and most can also be converted to another format on download - for example, saving a Word document as a PDF - without changing the original. See Downloading and Converting.
