Workspace Overview

What Workspace is

Workspace (workspace.empirevault.com) is where you plan and track delivery work: projects, the tasks that make them up, and a client portal that lets customers see how things are going without needing an EmpireVault account. Navigate to Workspace > Dashboard to land on your personal view - what's overdue, what's due today or this week, your most urgent open tasks, and the projects you belong to.

Finding your way around

Alongside Dashboard, the sidebar has three more sections. Tasks lists every task you have access to, including tasks that aren't attached to any project. Projects lists the projects you're a member of, each with its own tasks, team, and client portal. Activity is a running feed of comments across the tasks and projects you're involved in, with a filter for just the ones that mention you. See Projects and Tasks for how to create and manage both.

Discussing the work

Every task and every project has its own comment discussion, so questions and updates stay attached to the work instead of scattered across email or chat. Comments can mention a teammate directly to notify them. See Comments and Notifications.

The client portal, at a glance

When a project has a client, share a private portal link so they can follow along: progress counts, recent updates, and the ability to leave a comment or request a new task, all without signing in. See The Client Portal.

How this connects to CRM

Workspace tasks are the same tasks that can be linked to contacts, leads, tickets, campaigns, and job postings elsewhere in EmpireVault. The Tasks link in the CRM sidebar opens this same task list in Workspace.
