Forecast, Quotas, and Attainment

Published July 10, 2026

Where sales targets live

Open CRM > Deals and use the view switcher at the top: alongside Board and List you will find Forecast, Attainment, and Quotas. Everyone on the team can view all three; only admins can edit quotas.

The Forecast board

Forecast lays your open deals out by close date: This Month, Next Month, This Quarter, Later, and Unscheduled for deals with no close date yet. Each column shows a straight total and a weighted total that counts every deal at its pipeline stage's win probability, and a deal whose close date has already slipped past is flagged OVERDUE. The same owner, type, and search filters as the Board apply.

Forecast categories on deals

Every deal carries a Forecast Category, set on the deal's form: Commit is the number you would stand behind, Best Case is the upside, Pipeline is everything else in play, and Omit keeps a deal out of the numbers entirely. Categories do not move deals around the Forecast board - they feed the Commit and Best Case figures on the Attainment view.

Setting quotas

The Quotas view is a simple grid: one row per team member, one column per month covering this month and the next two. An admin clicks into a cell, types the rep's monthly target, and it saves as soon as they click away; clearing a cell removes the quota, and an empty cell simply means no quota that month.

Tracking attainment

The Attainment view scores a month: step between months with the arrows, or focus on one person with the Rep filter. Booked is the value of won deals with a close date in the month, and the attainment bar measures booked against quota; the forecast bar adds committed open deals on top, so you can tell whether the month is on track before it closes. With all reps in view, a per-rep table breaks out quota, booked, commit, best case, weighted pipeline, and attainment percentage for each person.
