CRM Automations

If/then rules for your CRM

Automations watch for events and act on them so routine follow-up happens without anyone remembering to do it. Navigate to CRM > Automations (admin only) to build rules.

Triggers and conditions

Each rule starts from a trigger: a new lead, a deal changing stage, a ticket changing status, a form submission, a quote being accepted, a contact being tagged, and more. Add conditions to narrow when the rule fires - match on record fields, tags, or any custom field you've defined - and the rule only acts when every condition holds.

Actions

A rule can create a task, send a templated email, post to Slack, or call a webhook. Emails respect your suppression and unsubscribe lists - a suppressed or unsubscribed contact is never emailed by an automation - and each rule emails a given contact at most once per day, so a busy trigger can't flood anyone's inbox. Slack actions post to the destinations configured under Slack Notifications; webhook actions sign their deliveries the same way as Outbound Webhooks.

Run history

Every firing is recorded in the rule's run history, so you can see when it ran, what triggered it, and what it did - the first place to look when you're wondering why something did or didn't happen.

Built-in automations

The same page lists EmpireVault's built-in automations as simple on/off toggles, so the standard behaviors and your own rules are managed in one place.
