Quotes Overview

Published July 07, 2026

Where quotes live

Quotes live in CRM alongside your contacts, companies, and deals. Navigate to CRM > Quotes and click New Quote to start one. A quote is attached to a contact and, if you choose, an organization - and it can also be linked to a deal, so the proposal you send tracks directly against the opportunity it belongs to.

Quote groups and versions

Every quote belongs to a quote group, and a group can hold several versions over time. Only one version is current at any moment. When you need to change something on an approved or already-sent quote, you create a new version rather than editing history away - earlier versions stay on the group as a record of what was proposed before.

The lifecycle at a glance

A quote starts as a draft. If it matches an approval rule your admin has configured, sending it routes it for approval first; otherwise sending delivers it straight to the customer. From there, the customer opens their copy and either accepts or declines it. A quote can also expire or be withdrawn before that happens.
