The Product Catalog holds the things you sell - services, licenses, retainers, hardware - so quotes are built from consistent names and prices instead of retyped line items. Navigate to CRM > Product Catalog (it sits in the Revenue section) to manage it.
Each item has a name, a description, an optional SKU and category, a unit type (an hour, a month, a seat), a billing type matching the quote line categories (one-time, recurring, time and materials, milestone, expense, or fee), a default quantity, and a default unit price. You can also record an internal cost - cost and margin are only visible to teammates with catalog permission, so customer-facing users see prices, not margins.
On any quote - new or existing - click Add from catalog next to + Add item. Search by name or SKU, filter by category, and click Add: the line item arrives pre-filled from the catalog item and stays linked to it, so you can trace which quotes sold which offerings. Adjust the quantity, price, or wording per quote as needed - edits affect that quote only, never the catalog.
Mark an item inactive to hide it from the picker without deleting it - existing quotes that used it are untouched, and the item can be reactivated later. The picker's Active only checkbox lets you peek at inactive items when you need one back.
